Located along some of the last free-flowing and undeveloped stretches of the Missouri River, Cross Ranch is one of five North Dakota state parks designated as official Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail sites. The park features an extensive hiking trail system, boat ramp access, canoe rentals and primitive camping. The trails allow access to a 5,000-acre nature preserve with mixed grass prairie, river bottom forests and woody draws. Campers can either use the park's main primitive campground, the nearby Sanger Campground which has electrical hookups, or hike to their camping spot in a backcountry area.

Directions

Located between the towns of Center and Washburn on the west side of the Missouri River. From I-94 take Exit 147 (N.D. Highway 25) north 18 miles, then 5 miles north on Hensler Road, then east 5 miles on Sanger Road, then north 2 miles on River Road.
